We've used just about every brand welder you can think of (including Miller), and without a doubt, this is the best we've ever experienced. We've used a Miller 320 since 1965 (it's still going strong), and several cheaper Chinese welders, which worked well, but didn't last, and finally convinced the folks that control the money that, for the work we do (vacuum and high-vacuum welding), we really needed the real thing, and we finally got it. We do a lot of fairly heavy (1/2"+) aluminum, as well as lots of stainless, from .03 to .5 inch thick. This new Dynasty 400 makes switching from one to another remarkably easy. All controls are intuitive and easy to use, and being able to save programs is a great time saver.

Product Questions and Answers

Q - What does Auto Line do? A - It allows you to use any input voltage hookup (from 208 to 575 V) with no manual linking.
Q - What is the DIG feature on this welder? A - It allows you to change the arc characteristics for different applications and electrodes. You would use a lower setting for smooth running electrodes like E7018 and increase it for stiffer electrodes like the E6010.
