Our Miller TIG welding packages are some of the most affordable welding options currently on the market. The 161 STH is unique in the sense that it can connect to standard 120V and 240V receptacles with no additional tools or attachments. Perfect for welding stainless steel, because the Maxstar 161 STH has adjustable heat settings, it can easily weld thin metals that are usually prone to warping. In addition, this welding setup has no need for a bulky gas valve, giving the welder more control over their new TIG welding torch.

I welded professionally for 15 years before I finally broke down and got a welder for home use. This is the one I got. One of our contractors started putting these tiny little gems on their work trucks, so I was a high information buyer. Can only run 3/32 with the 110V plug, but you're not building a bridge right? It runs like other Miller equipment I've used which has always been good. Haven't tried the 220V yet. It says you can run 160 amps. I mainly got it for light tig work. It's a good machine. You can almost fit it in your pocket.

Q - What is the post flow on this machine?A - Per Miller, the typical flow rate is 15 cubic feet per hour at a maximum of 90 psi. It is a fixed pre flow and automatic post flow depending on output amperage.
Q - How long is the power cord on this?A - 6.5 ft.
How to route and secure shoulder strap:
Route looped ends.
Route looped ends of strap through openings in bezels.
Insert pins.
Insert pins through strap loops.
Pull up on straps.
Pull up on straps to pull pins up into bezel openings. Pull straps firmly enough to seat pins in retaining slots in openings.
Press buckle lever.
Press buckle lever, and slide strap through buckle to obtain desired length. Release lever.
