- Stop Engine.
Stop engine and let it cool.
- Mark and Disconnect.
Mark and disconnect leads at brush holder cap. Remove brushes.
- Replace Brushes.
Replace brushes if damaged or if brush materials are at or near minimum length.
- Ready to Use.
Once the damaged or worn brushes are replaced your generator is ready to use.
