Q - Why do electrodes need to be ground?
A - It makes for easier arc starting, reduces tungsten shedding, increases the service life of electrodes, and helps make welds more consistent.
Q - What's the difference between this and the TS5-230?
A - The T310 has a more powerful motor.
How to Change the Grinding Wheel:
- Unplug.
Remove the plug from the electrical socket before doing any maintenance.
- Remove Grinder Housing.
Locate and remove the three small set screws in grinder housing. Then, remove grinder housing.
- Remove Nuts.
Remove a #17 wrench on the collet nut and #10 wrench on the wheel retaining nut(left hand thread).
- Remove and Replace Wheel.
Remove and replace grinding wheel. Need to remove and reset washer in this process.
- Replace Nuts.
Replace nuts in the the reverse order and make sure all nuts are tightened and the wheel is level.
- Replace Grinder Housing.
Replace grinder housing. Do not force it, gently slide it on. Your new grinder wheel is ready to use.
