The ER70S-6 has one of the highest deposit strengths among carbon steel wires, and has a high tolerance of any scale or rust which may have crept onto the metal. The high levels of manganese and silicon make this wire an industry leader.

ER70S - 6 is commonly used for butt and fillet welding of sheet metal and can be used to plate a variety of thicknesses. The .030 width of the E70S6030X11SPLW wire makes it suitable for a variety of different surfaces and objects. This includes thicknesses from a 22 gauge (.031) up to a 1/8” (.125).

This general purpose welding wire is ideal for fabrication of mild steel. ER70S -6 is a high strength wire, which produces superior results, even on rusty metal. The shielding gas recommended for this wire is Pure CO2, or 75/25 (CO2/Argon).
