Not all cutting jobs are created equal. When faced with a particularly challenging cut, you may need a specialized consumables kit to get the job done right. HyAccess consumables extend an additional 3" when installed on a hand torch compared to standard consumables. HyAccess consumables give you the ability to cut in hard to reach places. The narrow tip makes it easier to see what you’re cutting. Using HyAccess consumables reduces the need for other equipment, like a grinding wheel, which helps you get the job done faster.

If you plan to tackle these jobs, HyAccess consumables will give you the extra reach and visibility you need:

• Cutting channels or beams with deep grooves
• Cutting through flanges
• Cutting/gouging inside an engine compartment or wheel well
• Gouging welds in oddly shaped pieces

Experts recommend changing electrodes more frequently than most other consumable kit components. The Hypertherm HyAccess Consumable Starter Kit provides you with an extra electrode, preventing you from having to reorder more frequently. When to Reorder

The Hypertherm HyAccess Consumable Starter Kit is made to last as long as effectively possible. To ensure the quality of your work remains high, reorder your consumables kit when you begin to see any of the following signs of wearing:

• The tip of the nozzle enlarges, or begins to adopt an oval shape
• The pit depth of hafnium/tungsten is over 1/32
• Cracks appear in the retaining cap
• Slag build up appears on the shield

If you are cutting through thicker materials, or cutting with a slower speed, you may need to reorder more often.

The Ideal Environment to Prolong the Life of Your Investments

In addition to pairing your Hypertherm system with Hypertherm consumables for maximum effectiveness, your work environment plays a factor in prolonging the life of these products. Working with or storing products in an environment containing water or oil in the air will decrease the life of your consumables. Best practice is to work with and store consumables in a dry environment and use an air compressor to minimize moisture.
