Miller Safety Glasses
If you’re going to do any torch soldering, cutting or brazing without a welding helmet, you need safety glasses to protect your eyes against photokeratitis (AKA “welders flash”). Welders Supply carries a great lineup of Miller safety glasses with Shade 3 or Shade 5 lenses, as well as clear and smoked lens safety glasses for general, non-welding use.
Besides a great looking, form-fitting shape that provides excellent eye coverage, all Miller safety glasses have shatterproof polycarbonate lenses with an anti-scratch coating and meet ANSI Z87.1 Standards. Rubber ear pads and a soft foam strip along the upper part of the frame help keep these glasses from slipping around on your face even when temperatures heat up. Miller has thought of just about everything with these glasses.
If you’ve ever misplaced your safety glasses or accidentally broken them, you know what a butt-saver it can be to have an extra pair on hand. So, if you’re thinking of ordering a pair why not add a backup pair (or two) to your order? They’re inexpensive enough, and we’re pretty darn sure your eyesight is worth it.
Note: none of the safety glasses on this page are suitable for arc welding, as this requires the much darker lenses of welding helmets.
