The all new Powermax 85 SYNC plasma cutter makes use of Hypertherm's new cartridge consumables, simplifying the consumable stack into a single piece. The streamlined system reduces downtime, simplifies inventory management and guarantees the best cut every time.
Hypertherm Powermax 85 Plasma Cutters
Portable and powerful, the Hypertherm Powermax 85 is a professional-grade plasma system with 1” (25 mm) cut capacity for both handheld and mechanized cutting and gouging. Superior cut and gouge quality means less time grinding and prepping edges. This system has all the latest Hypertherm innovations, including SmartSense™ automatic gas pressure adjust, and offers full compatibility with a range of Duramax™ torch styles so you can tackle everything from cutting and gouging to portable automation, X-Y table use, as well as robotic cutting and gouging.

Attachment and Torch Options
The Hypertherm Powermax 85 is a heavy-duty plasma cutter for use in small shop environments and on 1" steel. Welders Supply carries the Powermax 85 with six different sets of torches and attachments:
The standard model includes one Duramax™ 75° plasma hand torch with a 25 ft. lead. The lead can also be extended to 50 ft. for larger work environments.
The Powermax 65 is also sold with a Duramax™ 180° machine torch. This torch helps you make maximum use of the Powermax 65 with CNC plasma machines. Based on your needs, you can purchase the Powermax 65 with both hand and machine torches, with only the machine torch, or with a remote hand pendant to turn the machine on and off.
Finally, if you do not need a mechanical torch but prefer multiple hand torches, we also have the Powermax 85 with a Duramax™ 15° and a 75° hand torch.
Any order of a Powermax 85 can also be shipped with your preferred set of consumables.
