Breaker tripping is greatly reduced, especially on 120 V, thanks to power factor corrected design.

The Complete Package

The Maxstar 161 STL with X-Case™ and contractor package gives you the convenient features you need, like Fan-On-Demand™ smart cooling system and Stick-Stuck™ technology for auto-shutoff and safe electrode removal. How to select a weld process :

Process Selector Button.
Press Button until LED for desired process is illuminated.
Lift Arc Start.
When selected, a TIG arc starting method in which the electrode must come in contact with the workpiece to initiate an arc is activated.
Stick (SMAW).
When selected, Adaptive Hot Start, Stick Stuck, and DIG circuitry are energized.
Stick 6010 (SMAW).
When selected, Adaptive Hot Start, StickStuck, and DIG circuitry are energized. Parameters are optimized to run a 6010Stick electrode.
