Q - Which wireless remote foot controller works with this?
A - The Miller Wireless Remote Foot Control #300429. It plugs right into the 14-pin receptacle on the machine.
Q - What connectors does this come with?
A - Two male Dinse connectors are included. If you need to use Tweco fittings, you can buy Miller Dinse/Tweco Adapter #042465.
How to start an arc with scratch start technique:
- Position control to Stick mode.
Use the Process Select Control and choose between the four Stick processes (Stick E XX18 Soft, E XX18 Stiff, E XX10 Soft, or E XX10 stiff).
- Arc drag electrode across workpiece.
Move electrode across metal like striking a match.
- Lift electrode slightly after touching work.
If arc goes out, electrode was lifted too high. If electrode sticks to workpiece, use a quick twist to free it.
