Product Questions and Answers

Q - Can you gouge with this? A - Yes, but you'll need the Thermal Dynamics Plasma Shield Cup Maximum Life (#9-8237) and their Plasma Gouging Shield Cap (#9-8241)

How to connect a torch:

  1. Use the right torch.

The Cutmaster 58 is designed to be used with only a Thermal Dynamics model SL60 Manual or SL100 Mechanical Torch. Maximum torch lead length is 100 feet / 30.5 m, including extensions.

  2. Disconnect power.

Before connecting the torch, disconnect primary power at the source.

  3. Connect torch.

Align the ATC male connector (on the torch lead) with the female receptacle. Push the male connector into the female receptacle. The connectors should push together with a small amount of pressure.

  4. Secure the connection.

Turn the locking nut clockwise until it clicks. DO NOT use the locking nut to pull the connection together. Do not use tools to secure the connection. The system is ready for use.
