MIG Welders from the Welders Supply Inventory
For every need or want with welding there is a proper and easiest to improper and hardest welding machine to get the job done. And here at The Welders Supply Company we can cater to all of your needs and attempt to give you information to allow you to make the right choice when it comes to the application you wish to perform. We sell many MIG welding machines, If you are looking for a welder that can weld thin to medium thickness metal this may be the best option for you, but you need to be mindful of a few things first.
MIG welding requires gas. This gas comes in various forms and mixtures, which we also sell here at our site, but its purpose never changes. you are shielding the molten metal pool from the environment to prevent the weakening or damaging of the weld. If this is not done with very thin material the cooled metal will become porous and weak in comparison to a proper weld. The other thing to be mindful of is the spatter. Gas MIG welders weld with gas to protect the pool of metal, but the wire it feeds (or pulls to the tip of the torch) can at times become scattered across the workspace. This being the case you can protect the project with splash guards, splash shields, and even just chip and sand away at it with the burs and grinders that are also sold here.
