We weld high volumes of TIG & STICK stainless steel and TIG aluminum for our company, many of these are very tiny fillet welds no larger than a 1/16 of an inch. The arc control of our 210 DX is something we haven't experienced before. The time and argon used to weld these parts have been significantly reduced due to the amount of control this welder provides. Since the time to weld these parts is reduced, this also means that less heat is being put into the part which is greatly important when welding stainless steel that is to be used in the food industry such as ours. We chose this machine over a syncrowave 210 DX due to the hot-start functionality. Our old welder had poor arc starts which led us to want a machine that wont cause a stainless electrode to stick (although it is common for stainless electrodes to stick easier than other metals.) However, we use the hot-start rarely because the base arc starts are so significantly better. The hot-start is still used on some parts but we mostly use STICK welding for tacks which is why we heavily depend on good arc starting for STICK welding. Thank you miller for providing such a diverse and extremely capable machine, while it is expensive, it is worth every penny.
