Powermax 800 (DISCONTINUED): Upgrade Guide & Replacements
The Powermax800 50-amp plasma cutter power supply was last produced by Hypertherm in 1998, and is no longer available. Effective January 2021, Hypertherm no longer supports this model and no longer manufactures parts and consumables for this system.
The Powermax 800 is succeeded by the Powermax 65, a versatile machine for heavy-duty cutting and gouging. The Powermax 65 features the latest technical innovations, including Smart Sense technology for automatic gas pressure adjustments. This new system is compatible with hand cutting or gouging, portable automation, X-Y tables, and robotic cutting and gouging.
